TARJA KREHIĆ, president of the Association
Tarja Krehić is a lawyer and partner at the law firm Krehić. She has more than 13 years of successful legal and attorneyship experience in rendering strategic legal advice to local and international clients. Tarja primarily deals with status and commercial law, banking & finance, competition and telecommunication.
Before establishing her own independent law firm in 2010, Tarja cooperated for several years with the international law firm Wolf Theiss in Zagreb, where she worked on numerous multi-jurisdictional projects as well as handled and managed the regional transactions for Central and South-east Europe. She started her professional career at Hrvatski Telekom (Croatian Telecom), where she gained valuable experience in the field of telecommunication regulations.
She completed her LL.M. in corporate law at the Duke University, North Carolina, U.S., gaining a scholarship from the US government through the "Ron Brown Fellowship" programme. She graduated with a law degree from the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. Tarja is a member of the Croatian Bar Association and IBA, author of expert legal articles for leading international business and legal journals.
VANJA JOKA BRKLJAČIĆ, Chairwoman of the Board for Legislation
Vanja Joka Brkljačić graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University in Zagreb. Since 1998 she works at the law firm Mikuličić-Lončarić-Bahun-Topić with its headquarters in Zagreb.
She provides legal advice to domestic and foreign, juristic and natural persons in the field of civil law, especially on questions concerning law of obligations, proprietary, land registry and inheritance laws, beforehand as well as during proceedings before the court and other state institutions.
She also practices foreclosure and labour law and has substantial experience in representing clients in family, especially matrimonial proceedings, as well as in children's rights proceedings. She is a member of the Croatian Bar Association and also one of the co-founders of the Croatian Association of Women in the Legal Profession.
MARTINA RAJIĆ, Chairwoman of the Board for International Cooperation
Martina Rajić, Master of Laws and permanent court interpreter for the German language. Martina was born in Italy, her mother is Italian, her father Croat. Since birth she lived in Austria where she graduated from law school and gained her professional experience. Besides German, she speaks Croatian, Italian and English. She is currently finishing her postgraduate course in business management in Zagreb. She started her career working as a trainee at four courts: the regional, labour, criminal and municipal court in Graz. After that she worked for three years as a legal trainee at the Vienna office of the Wolf Theiss law firm, where she was primarily engaged in the representation and the legal counselling of Austrian and German business clients. At the beginning of 2015 she founded her own company Lingua Legis d.o.o. together with a lawyer colleague. The company provides high quality services of court interpreters for the German and English language who are specialized in translations of legal, financial and tax documents.
ANTONIJA PETIČUŠIĆ, Chairwoman of the Board for Education
Antonija Petričušić is a post-doctoral fellow - lecturer at the Department for Sociology at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. She earned her doctor's degree at the Legal Faculty of the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz, Austria. She completed her postgraduate studies in sociology and social anthropology, human rights and democratization. She worked at the Institute for Austrian, European and Comparative Public Law at the Legal Faculty of the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz, Austria, at the Institute for International Relations in Zagreb, at the Croatian Ministry of Justice and at the European Academy in Bolzano, Italy. She participated and cooperated in a number of international scientific projects and published articles on human and minority rights, democratization and political culture.
NATAŠA NOVAKOVIĆ, Chairwoman of the Board for Humanitarian Projects and PR
Nataša Novaković graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University in Zagreb. She started her career as a legal trainee, worked for a short period in the financial sector after which she started working at the Government's Office for social partnership. Since 2006 she is working at the Croatian Employer's Association, currently as Adviser to the Head Director for labour market and human resources development. She is a specialist in the field of labour legislation, especially in union relations and collective bargaining.
She participated in numerous working groups on the creation of legal regulations, was a member of the Parliamentary Board for Legislation and is now a member of the advisory bodies at the Croatian Government, the Social-Economic Council and the National Council for Human Potential Development.
She is recently developing her career in the field of human resources management. She also leads the UN initiative for corporate social responsibility - the Global Compact Network Croatia, through which she, among other responsibilities, promotes the economic strengthening and equality of women. She is also the author of numerous articles in the field of labour legislation and co-author of several books on the same topic.
NIKOLINA STANIČIĆ, chairwoman of the Board for administration and finances
Nikolina Staničić has 15 years of work experience in different legal services. Nikolina started her career as a legal trainee at the law firm "Marković & Plišo". After that she joined the corporate world and performed different expert and advisory functions at Hrvatski Telekom d.d., to finally also hold the position of Director for Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Iskon Internet d.d., a member of the Croatian Telecom Group. She recently established a law firm in cooperation with the law firm Krehić. Her main areas of expertise are electronic communications law, market competition law, corporate and commercial law, as well as labour law. Nikolina graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University in Zagreb and gained her Master's degree and LL.M title at the Central European University in Budapest. Nikolina also obtained an MBA degree at the IEDC - Bled School of Management.
PETRA KONTIĆ, secretary of the Association
Petra Kontić graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University in Zagreb in 2014 and since then works as a legal trainee at the law firm Krehić. Even at law school, Petra showed special interest in the field of commercial law and status law and, while still a student, participated in the eminent international student's competition "Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot" in Vienna, representing the team for the Zagreb Faculty of Law. One part of her time as a student she also spent at the Faculty of Law in Stockholm, improving herself in the methods of resolving international commercial disputes. Today Petra primarily deals with status law, M&A and commercial law, as well as banking and finance. She is fluent in English and does also speak German and Spanish.
